Blue Sky Holiday

The weather has been great the last few days. Sunny, not much rain...even the temps seem a little warmer. But I've been sitting on the couch. I've been sleeping there as well.

All I can say is that I'm so glad I got in my 30 miles last week, cause this week it aint happenin. Just as well though since I have a 10k race this Sunday. If anybody happens to be in Elk Grove you're welcome to come cheer me on.

Today I ran Otter Trail and Hidden Gold. 5.5 miles. I felt like hell the first mile. My head was pounding and my leg muscles were so tight that every step made me think I was gonna break the pavement. Out of sync again! I hate this! My head is so full.

Full of worries, full of pain, full of anger.

Where's the zen? Where's the switch that shuts down anxiety? I've misplaced it. Oh Lord, help me find it! Please! You owe me one!

Did I just say that? God owes me one?

Sure, I'm kinda ticked off at God at the moment (life really sucks right now)...but heck, hey doesn't owe me anything. I am the one who's in debt, not him! I can't get through this without help. I have faith. God is good.

New song to ipod- Bad Day by Daniel Powter

Here's part of the song:

You stand in the line just to hit a new low
You're faking a smile with the coffee to go
You tell me your life's been way off line
You're falling to pieces everytime
And I don't need no carryin' on

Cause you had a bad day
You're taking one down
You sing a sad song just to turn it around
You say you don't know
You tell me don't lie
You work at a smile and you go for a ride (replace with RUN!)
You had a bad day
The camera don't lie
You're coming back down and you really don't mind
You had a bad day
You had a bad day

Well you need a blue sky holiday
The point is they laugh at what you say
And I don't need no carryin' on
